Ipsos Retail Performance has been chosen by a Lancaster shopping centre to provide footfall counting technology following the introduction of ongoing COVID-19 restrictions and guidelines.
St Nicholas Arcade is one of many shopping centres to use our leading footfall counting technology, which will enable the centre’s management team and tenants to monitor store performance and analyse the success of marketing campaigns with the aim to increase customer numbers.
Andy Hart, Business Development Manager at Ipsos Retail Performance commented on the new partnership:
“With the challenges the retail sector has faced over the last year, the importance of accurate analytics has never been more significant. Implementing accurate footfall counting technology is vital to understand the impact of social distancing restrictions, as well as providing vital insight into marketing campaigns and store performance.”
Jolanta Cross, Centre Co-Ordinator of St Nicholas Arcade, said:
“We’re delighted to be working with Ipsos Retail Performance to monitor the success of the shopping centre. We felt valued from the start of the process and the whole Ipsos team has made us feel important, from the sales team, to engineers, to the directors.
“Shopper counting has always been in place at St Nics, but the level of communication we are receiving from Ipsos is on a different level to previous providers and we are looking forward to further the extent the data can be used by working closely with the analytics team to track marketing activity and how this is impacting footfall.”
